Chris Kirk Wins the Viking Classic
18/07/2011
PGA Tour rookie Chris Kirk (FJ Street) won the 2011 Viking Classic held at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Mississippi. Beginning the day with a one stroke lead, Kirk played like a seasoned veteran holding or sharing the lead all day. Kirk made his move on the par-4 17th hole hitting a 140-yard approach shot over water 5 feet from the pin. He would calmly make the putt and take a one shot lead into the par-5 18th.
Finding the fairway off the tee and green in regulation, Kirk only needed a two putt for the victory. He tapped in his par putt and released a small fist pump celebrating his accomplishment. His four rounds in the sixties (67-67-64-68) tied the tournament record of 22-under par. This is Kirk's first PGA Tour victory.

Steve Stricker successfully defended his John Deere Classic title for the second straight year with a 25-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole to win by one shot over PGA Tour rookie Kyle Stanley (FJ ICON & StaSof).
Stricker (DryJoys Tour #53635 ,Pure Touch Limited, & ProDry Lisle Shirt #32963), already a winner this year at the Memorial, began the day with a 2-stroke lead. By the time Stricker made the turn he had a five shot advantage. Stanley, playing like a seasoned veteran, mounted a raucous back nine charge that included birdies on five of his first six holes to take the lead.
Not to be outdone, Stricker birdied 17 to pull within one of the PGA Tour rookie. Stanley then bogeyed the 18th leaving Stricker on the last hole with a chance to win for the third consecutive year. After missing the fairway Stricker hit a solid recovery shot from an awkward stance 25 feet from the pin. Stricker struck his putt and erupted with emotion as the ball gently fell in the left side of the cup securing his victory.
This is Stricker's 11th career victory making him the only player to have multiple victories in each of the past three seasons on the PGA Tour. Stanley's runner up finished earn him a spot in next week's Open Championship.

4/07/2011
At only one-under after Thursday and Friday's rounds at Aronimink Golf Course, Nick Watney (FJ Sport and Pure Touch Limited) closed the deal with a 12-under total for the weekend to secure a two stroke win over fellow FJ Ambassador K.J. Choi (FJ Icon and StaSof) in the AT&T National. Watney's three birdies and three clutch par saves on the front helped him gain control; however, Choi was hot on his tail with four birdies on the backside. Despite the Philadelphia humidity and the competition, Watney shot a cool bogey-free 68 on Sunday to claim the title by two shots. Grasping the Liberty Bell trophy puts Watney 10th in the official World Golf Rankings. This is Watney's second victory of 2011.
Watney later said of his victory, "I'm overjoyed to be in here as the winner...It was a very difficult, long day. K.J. played great golf and he kept coming and coming. And that makes it even more rewarding."
